You’ll also want to consider the path that installers will need to take when they install your hot tub, and you’ll also need to decide what surface you’ll place your hot tub on. 

Hot Tub Resting Surface

Your hot tub’s resting surface is one consideration that’s actually both practical and preferential. For the most basic option, you could install a poured concrete slab that’s strong enough to hold the weight of a hot tub full of water and people (think possibly upwards of 8,000 pounds).

Plumbing doesn’t require much. You will need to make certain that your water hose reaches your hot tub. And you’ll need to think about how your space drains. The best practice is to drain your hot tub once a quarter, so you wouldn’t want that water to stand in your yard.
